Think CO is an awareness raising campaign run by the Gas Safe Charity. It aims to highlight the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning to staff and volunteers from public, voluntary and private sector organisations who provide services in the homes of vulnerable people. It does this by delivering free, half day workshops across the UK to front line workers.
At the end of the session they will be more aware of the sources, signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning and understand what steps they can take to help reduce the risks. A particular focus of the project has been raising awareness of long term, low level poisoning which can have serious effects on people’s health. By recognising the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, steps can be taken to help reduce it’s impact.
